On December 8, 2022, Hon. The construction of these classrooms and 146 latrines is part of the socio-economic inclusion of refugees and host communities project dubbed JYA MBERE, which seeks to improve access to basic services and economic opportunities and support environmental management for refugees and host communities.

These classrooms were constructed in ES Mudasomwa, GS Gasaka and Don Bosco Nyamagabe TSS. In addition, the constructed classrooms also equipped with needed materials.

Speaking at the inauguration event, the World Bank Country Manager, Rolande Pryce, commended the efforts put in the completion of the newly constructed classroom. “These modern facilities will provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for students, teachers- She noted.”

Min. Kayisire applauded the World Bank's support in implementing the JYA Mbere project, which is playing a vital role in generating sustainable solutions for challenges facing refugees and host communities.
